How It Fits Your Workflow

Predictive models sit alongside your existing process, not in place of it

Tallren Advisors is built to inform decisions you already make — entry timing, position sizing, and exit discipline — rather than to replace your judgement.

  • 01

    Model-ranked opportunity scoring

Each candidate position is scored against historical pattern matches, giving you an Expected Value (EV) estimate alongside your own chart reading, not instead of it.

  • 02

    Drawdown mitigation flags

The system monitors correlated exposure across open positions and surfaces a warning when concentration risk exceeds your configured threshold.

  • 03

    Backtested alpha, shown in context

Every signal links back to the look-back window and asset class it was trained on, so you can judge relevance to current conditions before acting.

  • 04

    Broker-agnostic read access

Connect via read-only API keys where your broker supports them. Tallren Advisors never requires trade execution permissions to generate analysis.

Backtesting & Methodology

Transparent reporting on how models performed historically

We publish the assumptions behind every backtest — look-back window, slippage model, and fee structure — so you can judge the result on its own terms rather than take it on faith.

Illustrative equity curve — sample strategy framework Look-back: rolling 24 months

This chart is a structural illustration of how backtest output is presented, not a performance guarantee. Account-specific reports are generated from your selected strategy parameters and asset universe.

Expected Value (EV)

Calculated per trade across the full backtest window, net of modelled slippage and fees.

Max Drawdown

Largest peak-to-trough equity decline observed during the tested period, shown with date range.

Win Rate

Proportion of closed positions reaching target versus stop, reported alongside average R multiple.

Exposure Duration

Average holding period per strategy type, used to align signals with your trading style.

Methodology note: all backtests use historical price data with a conservative slippage assumption. Past performance in a backtest does not guarantee future results, and live conditions — liquidity, spread, and execution speed — can differ from modelled assumptions.

The Analysis Pipeline

From raw market data to a ranked, risk-adjusted signal

Each stage below is logged, so you can trace any signal back through the pipeline to the data that produced it.

1

Data ingestion

Price, volume, and sentiment feeds are collected from licensed providers and normalised to a shared time series.

2

Feature extraction

The model derives features such as volatility regime, order-flow imbalance, and cross-asset correlation.

3

Pattern scoring

Current conditions are compared against the historical training set to produce a confidence-weighted EV estimate.

4

Risk overlay

Position sizing and portfolio concentration limits are applied before any signal reaches your dashboard or API endpoint.

# Example: retrieving a ranked signal via REST

Built for Different Trading Styles

One model framework, applied across three time horizons

Select a style below to see how the same underlying pipeline is tuned to different holding periods and risk tolerances.

Intraday, high-frequency signal review

Signals refresh continuously during market hours, with an emphasis on order-flow imbalance and short-term volatility. Suited to traders who hold positions for minutes rather than days and need low-latency confirmation before acting.

  • Typical holding periodMinutes to 1 hour
  • Primary risk controlTight stop-loss bands
  • Signal refreshContinuous

Multi-day positioning with trend confirmation

The model weights medium-term momentum and sentiment shifts more heavily, producing fewer but higher-conviction signals designed for positions held over several sessions.

  • Typical holding period2–10 trading days
  • Primary risk controlTrailing drawdown limit
  • Signal refreshEnd-of-session

Portfolio-level exposure across market cycles

Macro mode blends economic data releases and cross-asset correlation into longer-horizon exposure recommendations, aimed at private investors managing a broader book rather than individual trades.

  • Typical holding periodWeeks to months
  • Primary risk controlPortfolio concentration cap
  • Signal refreshWeekly review

Questions We're Asked Most

Technical answers on latency, data, and model training

What is the latency between data arrival and signal delivery?

The pipeline is designed for sub-second delivery during UK market hours. Actual latency depends on your network path and the data provider's own feed timing, which we do not control.

Which data sources feed the model?

We use licensed price and volume feeds alongside structured sentiment data drawn from public market commentary. We do not disclose individual provider agreements for commercial reasons.

How often is the model retrained?

Retraining runs on a scheduled cycle, with each version logged and dated. Signals generated under a given model version remain traceable to that version in your reporting history.

Does Tallren Advisors execute trades on my behalf?

No. Tallren Advisors connects to brokers using read-only access where supported and delivers analysis to you. Any decision to place, modify, or close a trade remains yours.

Can I see the backtest assumptions behind a given signal?

Yes. Every signal links to a methodology note covering the look-back window, slippage assumption, and fee model used to generate the associated EV estimate.

Is my account and API data encrypted?

Connections use encrypted transport, and credentials are stored using industry-standard encryption at rest. You can revoke access at any time from your account settings.
